Research at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences
Research in the humanities and social sciences is diverse and interdisciplinary. The focus is on subjects like integration, inclusive society, digitalisation, intellectual property and lifelong learning just as well as on practices for societal change and on mediatisation.
Diverse Research
The School of Humanities and Social Sciences combines numerous research fields at the respective faculties as well as in cooperation with other areas. The core research areas are reflected in excellent individual projects as well as in outstanding collaborative research. Particularly due to its status as a University of Excellence and the associated Emerging Field "Social Change", cultural manifestations and consequences of social change processes are investigated in a cross-thematic and interdisciplinary manner. The aim is therefore to initiate and conduct innovative and pioneering research with our university and non-university research and partner institutions, as well as to generate knowledge for society, especially in the humanities and social sciences.
