Study Documents for the B.A. Media Studies and Praxis
The study and examination regulations for the B.A. Media Studies and Praxis can be found on the website of the Philosophischen Fakultät.
Study and examination regulations are the two most important documents concerning the process and the correct general framework of the course of study. It is expected that all students know the study and examination regulations well enough to be mindful of and independently adhere to the therein established rules and deadlines. Should you have questions about various aspects of the documents, please take advantage of meeting with an advisor.
While the objectives of the course of studies, the entrance requirements, the flow of the studies (incl. length and starting date), the various forms of classes and lectures, and content and module descriptions are contained in the study regulations, the examination regulations contains the appropriate parameters for taking an exam. Within the regulations, you can find general rules, deadlines, and appointments for taking a test. It also explains the types of examination styles, what they should look like, the guidelines for grading and weighting grades, and what happens in case of absence or illness. There is also information for changing and acknowledging various achievements in studies, applying for final projects, and many other topics, which are essential for a successful time in the program.
NOTE: Since winter semester 2012/13 a new set of study and exam regulations are in effect for the B.A. Media Research and Praxis. They apply automatically for all students who began their studies in or after winter semester 2012/13.
