Institute of Media and Communication
The Institute of Media and Communication consists of the two Chairs of Economic and Political Communication as well as Science and Technology Communication, the Assistant Professorship for Digital Media and Research Methods as well as regularly changing guest professorships on various current topics.
Our studies, a major in Media Research as part of the Bachelor's degree programme in Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences and the master's programme Applied Media Research are characterized by their high standard of teaching in empirical research and their strong practical relevance.
With our annual public events such as the Praxisforum, lectures by external and renowned academics and practitioners or the symposium 'Digital Revolution in Democracy', we pass on research findings to the public. In this way, we ensure a regular exchange between science and practice.
