History
Will remembering the history train us for our lives? We can, of course, not simply deduct from history what to do here and now, but the inexhaustible reservoir of different options to organise human cohabitation with their inherent directions taken provides insights in the wide range of possible ways of life and is offering us many alternatives. Our knowledge of the results of decisions taken in the past shows us that calculability of the consequences of our actions is often limited, which makes us small and humble.
