Term papers in the Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes
In social and economic history, the term papers should be presented as small essays. The integrated bibliography needs to comply with the specifications given in the guidelines for undergraduate seminars of the Institute of History. In addition to possible Internet publications, at least 10 traditional titles (monographs, essays from anthologies, journal articles) are to be used and listed in the bibliography.
Papers for a Proseminar have a length of 12-15 pages. Papers for a Hauptseminar or a Seminar should have 15-20 pages.
Please note: As of summer semester 2017, only papers that use the cover sheet of the Institute of History will be accepted (term papers in Bachelor's or Master's programmes). You can download the cover sheet here as Word document and here as Pdf document.
-> more detailed information, advice, and practical tips are provided each semester by a tutorial
