Die Graduier­tenakademie der TU Dresden

Die Graduiertenakademie ist die zentrale Anlauf- und Servicestelle für alle Nachwuchswissenschaftler/innen an der TU Dresden. Darüber hinaus will die Graduiertenakademie während der Promotions- und PosDoc-Phase universitätsübergreifend optimale Rahmenbedingungen schaffen, um künftige Nachwuchswissenschaftler/innen für künftig hochrangige Positionen in Wissenschaft, Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft bestmöglich zu qualifizieren.

Gute wis­senschaft­liche Praxis

Zur guten wissenschaftlichen Praxis gehören Grundprinzipien wie, nach den anerkannten Regeln der Disziplin (lege artis) zu arbeiten, die Resultate nachvollziehbar, nachprüfbar und vollständig zu dokumentieren, alle Ergebnisse konsequent anzuzweifeln, die strikte Ehrlichkeit im Hinblick auf die Beiträge Anderer zu wahren sowie ethische Standards bei der Durchführung von Erhebungen und Studien einzuhalten.

Doctoral and postdoctoral studies at the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences

The doctorate is awarded in the doctoral procedure following a relevant course of study through the completion of an independent academic thesis (dissertation). The Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences awards the academic degree "doctor philosophiae" (Dr. phil.). The procedure is governed by the doctoral degree regulations.

The habilitation takes place in the habilitation procedure. Only those who hold the degree of Doctor of Philosophy from a German academic university (or an equivalent degree from a foreign university) and have generally been academically active in research and teaching for several years can be admitted to the habilitation. The habilitation takes the form of a habilitation thesis. The Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Science awards the academic degree of habilitated Doctor of Philosophy (Dr. phil. habil.).
