1. Application Deadlines
The deadline for applications for the Erasmus grant is mid-March of the year for the following academic year (i.e. application deadline 03/15/2022 for the academic year 2022/2023).
If there are remaining places for the summer semester, the application must be submitted by October 31st of the academic year in which the stay abroad is planned (i.e. October 31st, 2022 for the remaining places for the summer semester 2023). Please note that places are allocated for the entire academic year in March. Therefore, no guarantee of available remaining places for the summer semester can be given.
2. Application
The application for an Erasmus stay is done online via the following portal:
The following documents must be enclosed with the application:
- short letter of motivation (maximum 1 DIN A4 page)
- tabular CV
- overview of grades certified by the examination office with grade point average and indication of the main focus area
- if applicable Bachelor's certificate
- certificate of enrollment
- language certificates
- other qualifications
3. Notification and Further Procedure
After the end of the application period, a decision on the awarding of the scholarships will be made within one month. The notification will be sent by e-mail.
Accepted applicants will be reported to the universities by the ERASMUS office. From there, they will receive further information about the range of courses and accommodation options. The notification by the Erasmus Office does not replace the enrollment at the host university! Erasmus students must therefore enroll themselves (please note the respective application deadline!). Usually, there is a simplified enrollment procedure for Erasmus students. Please inform yourself early on on the homepages of the partner universities!
When enrolling at the host university, a Student Application and a Learning Agreement must be completed. The Learning Agreement contains a list of lectures and seminars that the students wish to attend during their studies abroad. The partner university, the home university (Erasmus Office and International Office), and the students themselves sign the contract. Changes are usually possible at the beginning of the study program.
Important: The Learning Agreement is also a prerequisite for the payment of the scholarship!
Students should take a leave of absence at the TU Dresden for the time of their stay abroad. Confirmations for the Child Benefit Office and the BAföG Office will be issued by the Erasmus Office upon request.
Studies at the host university begin between July (Linköping) and October. At some universities, language courses can be taken in advance. Possible collisions with the examination phase in Dresden will be discussed individually with the students.
