FUNDING PROGRAMS
Table of contents
As a student of the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, you have various opportunities to receive funding for a stay abroad (throughout Europe and worldwide) and thus enrich your studies in terms of both subject and language.
The Erasmus funding program
The Erasmus+ program, funded by the European Commission, aims to ensure a European exchange in the field of higher education. Erasmus students receive a financial grant (mobility allowance) during their stay abroad and are also exempt from paying tuition fees in the host country.
The partnerships that the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Science maintains with other universities in Europe can be viewed in the database of the International Office. Further information on existing partnerships of the respective institutes and on other funding offers of the Erasmus program (at Bachelor's, Master's or doctoral level) can also be found on the institute pages and can also be obtained from the respective Erasmus coordinators(contact persons and contacts).
Further information on the individual modalities, the application procedure and everything you need to know about the process of a stay abroad can be found here.
University cooperations worldwide
TU Dresden maintains a bilateral student exchange program with a large number of universities (outside the EU). With a PROMOS scholarship or a DAAD one-year scholarship, students of the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Science can take advantage of funding for shorter (up to 6 months) and longer study visits worldwide. They are also exempt from local tuition fees and receive a compensation payment for living or travel expenses if there is an exchange cooperation with the TUD Dresden University of Technology. Specific information on the exchange places, the application modalities and the contact details of the contact persons of the International Office can be found here.
Current calls for applications from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) can befound here .
PROMOS scholarship
The DAAD's PROMOS scholarship program supports shorter stays abroad (up to six months) for study visits worldwide and also for individually planned stays abroad.
Internships abroad
The PROMOS program also offers funding for internships abroad (worldwide), which is aimed in particular at increasing the mobility of students and enabling them to gain a wide range of experience abroad.
The Erasmus+ program also supports such projects in Europe from the 2nd year of study for 3 - 12 months. Such an internship can also be combined with a period of study abroad, which is funded by Erasmus. The contact for this is the Leonardo Office Part Saxony.
