Doctoral project: AI in the Saxon economy. Qualification requirements and further training concept
Table of contents
General information
As part of a dissertation, the research project examines how companies in Saxony interact with text-based AI and analyzes the need for further training in dealing with AI. A central aspect is AI literacy, i.e. the ability to use AI tools effectively and responsibly in professional contexts. The aim is to develop a training concept that trains employees in writing precise "prompts" in particular. This competence makes it possible to formulate problems in such a way that AI systems deliver optimal results. The training courses are also aimed at people without in-depth technical knowledge in order to promote the broad application of AI in the economy.
For the implementation of the project, we are looking for companies that are already using AI or are planning to do so. The study is aimed at companies with initial experience in the field of AI as well as those that are still in the introductory phase. By participating, you will be helping to create the scientific basis for future-oriented educational offerings and at the same time benefit from the results of the research.
Phases of the study
The study is divided into two phases:
1. analysis of AI use in companies: In an approx. 45-60 minute interview (virtual or on-site), the current use and perception of AI in your company is recorded. The insights gained serve as a basis for the development of targeted training measures.
2. free further training: Participating companies are given the opportunity to take part in a practice-oriented training course on "Prompt Engineering". This training is intended to help integrate AI more efficiently into operational processes and meet the requirements of the European AI Act, which prescribes further training for employees in the use of AI.
