Further training for the extension subject 'German as a Second Language'
Dear student teachers,
Since the winter semester 2016/17, further education in the extension subject "German as a second language" has been offered in the teacher training courses.
The further education course can be completed in parallel to the undergraduate teacher training course or afterwards and concludes in accordance with § 22 LAPO I.
In addition to the subject-specific basic and advanced modules, it also includes interdisciplinary modules on integration and political education as well as various aspects of migration research. School internships in the form of SPÜs are also planned. More detailed information can be found in therelevant school-specific study documents.
You can register for the continuing education extension subject/teaching profession via the continuing education catalog . Please note that the number of participants for the extension subject German as a second language is limited.

After successful online application, you will receive a detailed offer with the regulations for further education, the documents to be signed for further education and information about the further procedure.
The head of the extension subject DaZ, Dr. Martin Harfmann, will provide you with subject-specific academic advice and, if necessary, the recognition of previous achievements.
Please take a close look at the school-specific module descriptions and the attached study plans (see above) before making an appointment.
The courses for the GFL extension subject can be found on the faculty website under the tab Studies/Courses. Please do not confuse the courses offered by the Chair of German as a Second Language/German as a Foreign Language with the independent courses offered by the Department of German as a Second Language.
