Further training for the extension subject 'German as a Second Language'
Dear students,
Since the winter semester 2016/17, the advanced training course for the extension subject "German as a Second Language" has been offered in the teacher training courses.
The further education course is studied with the same number of points as your first or second subject and concludes with an extension examination as part of the First State Examination. In addition to the subject-specific basic and advanced modules, it also includes interdisciplinary modules on integration and political education as well as various aspects of migration research. In addition, school internships in the form of SPÜs are planned. More detailed information can be found in the school-specific module descriptions.
Anyone who is in at least the fifth semester of a teacher training course or has already completed their teacher training course can take up the further education course.
You can register for the continuing education extension subject/teaching degree via the continuing education catalog . Please note that the number of participants for the extension subject German as a second language is limited.
If you have any questions about the application and organizational procedure for further education, please contact the Centre for Further Education at TU Dresden. Your contact person there is Ms. BeatriceSchlegel
Once you have submitted your online application, Ms. Schlegel will send you a detailed offer with the regulations for continuing education and the documents to be signed for continuing education and will inform you about the further procedure.
The head of the EF DaZ, Dr. Martin Harfmann, will provide you with subject-specific academic advice and, if necessary, recognize your previous achievements.
Please take a close look at the school-specific module descriptions (see above) before making an appointment. A brief overview of the curriculum can be found here[0b4].
The following overview is based on an exemplary study plan of 6 semesters for taking the modules; the 7th semester is intended for the STEX examinations. However, the length of your individual study plan may vary
The courses can be found on the faculty website under the tab 'Studies/Courses '. Please do not confuse the courses offered by the Chair of German as a Foreign Language with the independent courses offered by the Department of German as a Second Language.
If you are interested, please keep up to date with changes and innovations on the pages of the EF DaZ, the ZLSB and the continuing education catalog of the TU Dresden.
