Teaching abroad? Discover the world with the PAD

Dear students of Romance languages,

Have you always wanted to see how German is taught abroad, what methods are used and how pupils at schools are motivated to learn your mother tongue? Then the Foreign Language Assistant Program of the Pedagogical Exchange Service is the right place for you!

As a foreign language assistant, you can teach German at several schools in a country of your choice, gain insights into lesson preparation and everyday school life and develop your didactic, linguistic and methodological skills. You also have the unique opportunity to get to know and discover the country, its culture and its people.

I was able to try out this program myself in the winter semester 2022/23 in Auvergne in beautiful France. So I can tell you a lot about my experiences, give you helpful tips and, of course, answer any questions you may have.

The foreign language assistance program is not only aimed at student teachers, but also students of all subjects.
