Workshop & Walk: Colonialism in Dresden's urban spaces
We, the Jugend- & Kulturprojekt e.V., are a non-profit association based in Dresden's Hechtviertel, which is active in the fields of art, culture and education.
As part of the project "UDEW - Urban Decolonization Walks", we would like to invite you and your students to a valuable and creative workshop with a thematic city tour in Dresden on the topic of "Europe's Colonial Heritage".
UDEW deals with the colonial heritage of Europe in public space. Through innovative learning methods and community engagement, UDEW aims to challenge historical narratives, raise awareness and promote dialog about the ongoing impact of colonialism. The UDEW - Urban Decolonization Walk project is co-funded by the European Union under the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) programme.
🔹 Workshop & city walk: We invite participants to take part in a walk to explore hidden stories in Dresden's monuments. Through a creative approach, we will deal with the difficult legacy of colonialism and its effects in public space. Please note that the workshop will be held in English.
