Would you like to spend part of your studies in another country? The SLK faculty offers numerous opportunities for this! You can find lots of information on the following pages, and you can also contact us at any time by email or drop by during consultation hours, which take place on Tuesdays from 3–5 pm and Thursdays from 10 am to 12 pm in W48/0.06.

3 Stipendien für einen sechsmonatigen Aufenthalt an der University of Colombo, Sri Lanka

Bachelor's and teacher training students from the 4th semester and Master's students can apply for a stay in Sri Lanka until 31.01.2025. The scholarship includes a monthly grant and a travel allowance. There is also personal support on site. In Dresden, you can come into contact with students from Sri Lanka in the exchange sessions! 1 one-year scholarship for a stay at Ohio State University

At Ohio State University, Graduate Teaching Associates not only complete their own coursework, but also gain teaching experience. 1 Scholarship for these positions is awarded to students who already have a BA degree or have completed their 6th semester in the teaching program. The scholarship includes a monthly stipend of $2,480 and the Teacher Training Workshop. Learn more

Incomings

Are you planning one or two exchange semesters in Dresden? Then you will find important information for your preparation and arrival on our pages! If you are already in Dresden, you can come to the office in W48/0.06 during office hours (Tuesdays 3 – 5 pm and Thursdays 10 am – 12 pm) and we will find an answer to all your questions. Learn more

Buddies wanted!

We are looking for you as a buddy! You will help international students to cope with everyday university life and life in Dresden. You will have the opportunity to show them your Dresden, improve your intercultural skills and make new friends. Participation can be credited towards AQua and supplementary courses. Registration deadline for the summer semester 2025 is in February. Learn more

The Faculty of Linguistics, Literature and Cultural Studies offers a wide range of opportunities for students who would like to study abroad for one or two semesters as part of their studies(study abroad, e.g. via Erasmus+ or other cooperations, internships abroad as well as binational degree programs) and for those students who come to Dresden from abroad to study here(incomings). The following pages will guide you through the international programs offered by the SLK Faculty.

Buddy Program

Students of the faculty and international students are also interested in the Buddy Program, which provides 1-to-1 support and offers students of diverse backgrounds the opportunity to integrate and network. International and local students alike can find the right contact person for their concerns under Contact and Links.

Incomings

For international students coming to Dresden to study at the Faculty of Linguistics, Literature and Cultural Studies, the Incomings section provides valuable information on Learning Agreements, Transcripts of Records, contact persons and FAQs.
