Concept
The Master's program "German studies" at the Kliment Ohridski University in Sofia (ZEDES Germanicum), successfully established with the help of the DAAD and under the coordination of the MeZ, has been offered since September 2001. In accordance with international usage, German studies is understood here as the study of German politics, economics, law, culture and contemporary history at the academic level of a Master's program. The degree program is tailored to the requirements of a professional career in business enterprises, in administration and in international governmental and non-governmental organizations.
Prerequisites: Bachelor's degree in any subject, very good knowledge of German
Subjects: Economics, law, politics/media and German culture (specialization in one of the three subject areas in the 3rd semester)
Duration: 3 semesters (including 4 weeks internship in Germany)
Language of instruction: German
Teaching staff: German and Bulgarian university lecturers and experienced practitioners
Degree: German-Bulgarian Master's degree
Tuition fees/scholarships: Apart from the enrollment fees of the St. Kliment Ohridski University, no fees are charged. 5 students per academic year can be awarded a DAAD Sur-Place Scholarship.
