About us

The Center for Central and Eastern European Studies (ZMOE) is a centre of excellence of the Faculty of Linguistics, Literature and Cultural Studies in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. It was established in 2019 as a result of a spatial and disciplinary realignment of the former Central European Centre and now combines expertise from German Studies, History and Slavic Studies.

The Centre initiates, bundles and promotes research projects that focus on Central and Eastern Europe from a humanities perspective, thus strengthening the strategic research profile line of TU Dresden Culture and Societal Change
