Dresden Summer School on Function Integration at Lightweight Systems for Industry 4.0
The application deadline has been extended until August 8th!
Open call for excellent students or doctoral students to participate in the Summer School.
The ILK is hosting Dresden Summer School on Function Integration at Lightweight Systems for Industry 4.0 on September 25th – 30th, 2022.
Global megatrends such as climate change, mobility and resource availability require interdisciplinary and international approach. Resource neutral lightweight design with modern multifunctional materials empowered by machine learning promotes key technologies that develop important solutions for climate protection, innovation and resource efficiency. It is particularly important to involve young scientists in the international networks at an early stage in order to develop long-term scientific cooperation in Europe.
We are looking forward to exciting discussion with outstanding international students and PhD students on topics related to function-integrated fiber-reinforced composites, their properties, design, manufacturing and to testing methods, as well as the integration of suitable sensors to determine the structural state. Both theoretical and practical sessions on general function integration and monitoring techniques for use in the lightweight structures will be offered. In addition to the scientific program there will be an extensive framework program to respond to the special concern of the summer school to integrate young scientists into international networks and develop long-term international scientific cooperation.
Further information on the topics and the program of the Summer School.
Interested students or doctoral students are welcome to send a comprehensive application by August 8st, 2022.
