Intended for students: This year's BeING Inside project week
Shortly before the start of the semester, this year's practical project week BeING Inside took place for the 5th time at the TU Dresden. Students from the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering as well as the Faculty of Business and Economics took part. In addition, there were students from Dresden, Thuringia and Brandenburg. Adapted to the current situation at the TU Dresden, this year the 67 participants focused on the digitalization of teaching: The task was to develop a concept for an online classroom in which students can independently acquire the content from the module "Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering" in self-study. This teaching room is to be supervised and accompanied by student e-tutors, for whom a requirement profile was to be defined.
The student teams had five days in the last week of September to work intensively on the practical task. They were not left to their own devices, however, but received support from team and subject coaches. These are students from higher semesters who were specially trained in didactics, methodology and content three weeks before the project week. At the end of the week, the interdisciplinary teams presented their concepts to a jury made up of professors and academic staff as well as representatives of ZiLL - which, as is well known, supports digital teaching at TU Dresden.
The jurors received the creative ideas of the student groups with great interest. Currently, two student assistants are in the process of implementing the best possible from the team results. Starting in the summer semester, the new concept is to be integrated into the existing OPAL classroom and made available to all electrical engineering students. Made by (potential) students for students!
