The prerequisite is an above-average scientific university degree in the subjects of electrical engineering, mechatronics, physics, mechanical engineering, information systems technology or related courses. Possible research fields are:
- Laser-optical methods for measuring complex flows
- Laser-optical processes for examining materials and monitoring production processes (Industry 4.0)
- Adaptive laser systems for biomedicine
- Wavefront shaping and neural networks for lensless endo-microscopy using multicore fibers
- Information transmission through scattering media exploiting physics-informed deep learning
- AI-based microscopy for investigation of tissues and cells
