Signal, data and image processing, programming
Projects in the field of signal processing are about efficient algorithms for signal and image processing which are used in laser-optical, optoelectronic or ultrasound-based measurement systems. This includes the following tasks, which can be worked on individually or in combination, according to individual arrangement:
- Design
- Digital or analog signal processing
- Signal analysis in (indirect) time domain (autocorrelation), frequency domain (FFT), etc.
- Application of transforms (FFT, Hilbert, Abel, Radon, …), regressions, etc. - Simulation:
- Evaluation of robustness (interference liability) based on signal models
- Evaluation of signal processing efficiency (comparison of the variance with Cramér-Rao bound)
- Implementation (digital: programming, analog: circuit design):
- control of data source (e.g., CCD-/CMOS-camera, D/A-transducer)
- offline data analysis (Matlab, C/C++)
- real-time data analysis (C/C++, DSP, FPGA/LabVIEW)
- analog circuit: PCB layout und assembly - Validation:
- test of signal processing based on experimental data
