Professor for Solid-State Electronics
Since 1996 Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Gerald Gerlach has been Professor for Solid-State Electronics and Head of the Solid-State Electronics Laboratory. His research interests are focused on different aspects of sensor technology including sensor materials and corresponding deposition and fabrication techniques, design and modeling of sensors as well as diverse sensor applications.
Chair of Coating Technologies in Electronics
The Chair of Coating Technologies in Electronics at the Institute for Solid State Electronics (IFE) is a joint professorship with the Fraunhofer Institute for Electron Beam and Plasma Technology FEP in Dresden. The chair holder is Prof. Dr. rer. nat. habil. Elizabeth von Hauff.

Professor Andreas Arndt was appointed to the Chair for System Integration and Scientific Instrumentation at the Institute of Solid State Electronics (IFE) on Oktober 1st, 2023. He is also Deputy Director of the Kurt-Schwabe-Institute for Measurement and Sensor Technology Meinsberg e.V.
