Process modeling of brewery plants
Our partner Ziemann Holvrieka is looking for student workers:
Working student for process modeling of brewery equipment
For 169 years now, demanding brewmasters all over the world have been brewing their beers with our equipment. For this purpose, we design, build and install all the machines and systems required for the brewing process - from the brewhouse to the pressure tank cellar. Our goal always remains the same: to supply the most advanced brewery technology - and to do so individually for each customer. Our recipe for success is employees who share our philosophy: acting competently and in partnership and convincing through performance.
For our site in Ludwigsburg, we are looking for the following person to start as soon as possible
Working Student (M/W/D).
Ideally between 10 and 20 hours per week and/or for longer periods during semester breaks. We would also like you to work as a basis for your diploma or master thesis.
YOUR TASKS
As a start you will understand the brewing process together with our experienced software and hardware engineers. Ideally, you will learn how a brewery works on one of our sites by supporting a startup over a period of 4-8 weeks. After that, you'll know your way around a brewery - from the grist mill, to the brewhouse, to the cold block, to filtration, to bottling. With this knowledge, you will develop new methods to modularize and model the brewing process in a database-supported, S88-compliant manner and to map it in database structures. For this purpose, we provide you with the most modern engineering tools.
OUR GOALS
- Based on the requirements of the process and electrical engineering we develop together a method to generate a generic function design specification (FDS) from predefined control and equipment modules.
- The FDS serves as a specification for the programming/parameterization of the DCS system, preferably SIEMENS PCS7 ®, SIEMENS BRAUMAT ® or ProLeit bremaxx ®.
- Another goal is to define an MTP-compatible structure of the FDS in order to reduce system integration efforts in the future.
YOUR PROFILE
- You have successfully completed your basic studies at the Chair of Process Control Engineering.
- You are open-minded, you enjoy working in an international environment and discovering new things every day. Communicating in English is no problem for you.
- You have learned how complex plants are engineered. Concept Design, Basic Design and Detailed Design processes are familiar to you.
- Ideally you have made first experiences with SIEMENS tools like TIA Portal and PCS7 and/or WINCC.
- In your technical center you have already put hardware into operation and gained first automation experiences.
OUR OFFER
- Atmosphere - A dynamic and international environment awaits you at our company. An environment with lean structures and short decision-making processes.
- Perspectives - Together we will define your master or diploma thesis. We are one of the most innovative companies on the market and are known for our passion, quality awareness and close customer relationships.
- Flexibility - Constantly changing market conditions are an incentive for us. In order to respond to them, we are well equipped and prepared. Our employees are our most important asset. Our tools are the best.
- Work-life balance - Virtual work and virtual teams are part of our daily practice. Nevertheless, we also know how important it is to meet at the Ludwigsburg site to discuss and work out solutions together on site.
