Why apply?

• deepen your understanding in the field of voice interaction
• user-centered challenges within an interdisciplinary group
• a Design Sprint process (revealing the challenge, explore the challenge, create solution ideas, prototyping, evaluation) will lead the groups to a prototype of a new skill that will be presented in a final public event
• modules on social and societal challenges of this technology will be offered
• one week with: inputs, lectures and panel discussions, hands-on teamwork and excursions
• we allocate 10 travel grants in the amount of 500€ for which you can apply

Important Dates

• Apply between 1st April and 31st may 2019
• You receive our positive/negative answer on 3rd June 2019 as well as detailed information on accomodation etc.
• Summer School: 22. - 28. 09. 2019

Please note, that you may be need a valid visa on arrival. We kindly ask you to inform yourself in good time in advance in your Federal Foreign Office // State Department how and when to apply for a visa. Not every country need one.
Please keep in mind that the application process may take up to three months.

Why is there no participation fee?

We'd like to give you the opportunitiy to attent this week full of challenging team work, grippin lectures and attractive excursions within the unique network of scientists and cultural institutions of Dresden.

As education is free in Germany, the university supports this summer school for young researchers and strengthening international contacts. Nevertheless, you have to spent money for your accomodation, travel and living costs during the summer school.
