The Chair of Didactics of Computer Science is active in many areas of research. We place particular importance on supporting computer science education in schools and strengthening lessons in this area. Our research centers around school pupils and teachers. The spectrum of our research topics ranges from didactic aspects to the mapping out of teaching and learning processes in ontologies.

We present our research findings and even some work conducted by students at conferences on general and subject-specific didactics to be discussed with an audience of experts and publish it in the accompanying material. Practical relevance and active involvement with schools are the key premises of our work in the Didactics of Computer Science. We therefore look forward to sharing our findings and experiences with teachers and other researchers. All members of staff at the Chair of Didactics of Computer Science are encouraged to hold public presentations, be they within TUD – for instance at the Saxon Computer Science in Schools Day – part of professional development courses at schools, or at conferences.
