Projects at the Chair of Didactics of Computer Science
The Chair of Didactics of Computer Science is currently working on eight projects. These range from long-standing collaborative projects with the Saxon State Ministry for Higher Education, Research and the Arts to supporting the use of digital tools in schools to innovative projects that will shape the future of (computer science) classes.
The target groups of the projects are wide-ranging, including lecturers in teacher training degree programs at TU Dresden, teacher training students (esp. with the subject of computer science), prospective students, teachers currently working in schools, and ultimately the school pupils themselves.
The Chair is primarily focused on projects for strengthening computer science education, such as the Digital Lehr@mt Lab project, a part of the PraxisdigitaliS joint project with the University of Leipzig, which seeks to impart fundamental computer science skills to teacher training students.
Its activities also include projects in digitalization in education, like the “Digitalization as an overarching topic in teacher training” subproject of TUD-Sylber2 and the online preparatory courses.
The EduInf project is geared toward the target group of school pupils from all types of schools and all grades.
