What for and which forms?

Many things in the everyday life of your studies have to be done based on applications/registrations etc. We have prepared forms for most processes. So whenever you

register for examinations,
have to withdraw from examinations due to illness,
have coursework and examinations recognized or credited,
be admitted to the final thesis,
apply for an extension of the processing time for final theses,
apply for the issue of certificates

you will find the relevant forms here.

If you cannot find a suitable form for your request, you have the option of submitting informal applications. Please pay particular attention to the instructions for informal applications!

Recognition of study and examination achievements

General information on the recognition of coursework and examinations

The recognition of study and examination achievements is regulated in the respective examination regulations (§ "Recognition of study and examination achievements, periods of study and qualifications acquired outside a university").
Credit is awarded upon application to the Examination Committee of the relevant degree program. The student's obligation to cooperate includes the complete and correct submission of all documents necessary for the examination of the credits applied for. These include

Application for credit transfer of study and examination achievements (please use the linked application form!)
Performance overviews, transcripts of records, certificates in the original or as officially certified copies (in German or English)
Module/course descriptions of the study and examination achievements applied for (in German or English)
Pre-completed form for the certificate of credited semesters

Please note that it can take up to 6 weeks to process an application for credit transfer after receipt of the complete documents! This is particularly important if you need a certificate of semester classification for a change of degree program!

Important! The application form must be completed in digital form using the PDF form functions! Please then print out the application, sign it and submit it to the Examination Office in both digital() and paper form!

Declaration of consent to an alternative form of implementation of a non-objective examination (de/en)
Registration of an examination as an additional module in accordance with your examination regulations
Application for preliminary examination for the recognition of study and examination achievements to be completed as part of an ERASMUS study program at TU Dresden
In the event of withdrawal due to illness, the application for withdrawal from examinations due to illness (form update: 15.02.2024) and the medical certificate form must be used. These certificates can be sent by post or deposited in one of the TUD's official mailboxes/deadline mailboxes. Sending by e-mail is not possible . Further information can be found here.
If you would like to waive an examination attempt, please fill out the waiver form, sign it and send it to the Examination Office
