Two projects nominated for the Mobility Award 2024
The MoveOn project won the Audience Award of the German Mobility Prize 2024 at the Federal Government's Digital Summit! In addition to the project partners Climate Alliance and the Chair of Transport Ecology at TU Dresden, flow.d GmbH, which is a spin-off of the Chair of Distributed and Networked Systems (formerly Computer Networks) in 2021, received this award.
In addition to MoveOn, the PrioBike-HH project was also nominated for the short list of the German Mobility Award in the "practical examples" category. Even though PrioBike-HH did not win in this category, the nomination once again recognizes the project's contributions to improving conditions for cyclists after being awarded 3rd place in the German Bicycle Prize.
The MoveOn research project uses the CITY CYCLING campaign app to collect digital cycling data from hundreds of thousands of cyclists, which municipalities and federal states can use directly for their cycling planning.
In the PrioBike-HH research project, the Chair of Distributed and Networked Systems is working together with institutions of the City of Hamburg, INAVET GmbH, Yunex Traffic and the Chair of Traffic Control Systems and Process Automation at TU Dresden to accelerate cycling traffic through smart, networked systems.
