Services
The International Office is the central point of contact for all administrative and intercultural issues relating to international activities. It offers advice on third-party funding, provides support with application procedures, accompanies international collaborations, helps with international marketing measures and organizes international events together with those involved.
In order to take into account the specific strategic internationalisation of the School of Engineering Sciences, the International Office is currently developing a school-specific Internationalisation Strategy in close cooperation with the three faculties and under the umbrella strategy "TU Dresden – Connected to the World".
The International Office is responsible for the strategic focus, development, and maintenance of partnerships at the school and university levels. Together with you, we explore and negotiate future partnerships. We look after strategic partnerships and initiate cooperation in research and teaching.
Be it the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the German Research Foundation (DFG), the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation or the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) – we advise on third-party funding for international projects and support the application process, from finding the right format to submission of the application.
From third-party funding acquisition through to the individual supervision of conference guests – we support the organisation of International Summer Schools, colloquia, symposia, conferences and workshops.
We are reliable companions for the international guests at the TU Dresden. We offer individual support and networking opportunities in Dresden. We are also the contact persons for the required documents for visa applications, as well as for the recruitment process for research activities at the TU Dresden.
We represent the School of Engineering Sciences at home and abroad. We supervise international delegations visiting the faculties of the School of Engineering Sciences. We maintain contacts with research alumni and regional ambassadors.
