Evaluation of transfer
In addition to the implementation of knowledge and technology transfer, CIMTT lays great emphasis on its evaluation. The aim of the evaluation is to improve CIMTT´s transfer concepts and continuously adapt them to changing conditions.
Own research has shown, that the most important precondition for the emergence of cooperation between science and economy are trustful relationships as well as a common understanding between representatives from science and business. For supporting the establishment of these conditions, it is essential to provide communication platforms and to promote the development of personal contacts.
Furthermore, our research results prove, there are many barriers that hinder the collaboration between science and economy. In this regard, the incompatibility of both systems is the most important reason. Here, a moderation by transfer promotors in order to promote the establishment of cooperation is indispensable, especially when small- and medium sized enterprises are in focus. CIMTT determined required tasks of transfer promotors and defined corresponding "scenarios of transfer". In addition, CIMTT developed a holistic concept, how knowledge and technology transfer, even from a regional policy perspective and by integrating all relevant regional actors can be tested and implemented in a cross-border setting.
In this connection, CIMTT elaborated a model of transfer as well as a curriculum for a qualification of transfer promotors, to impart them necessary competences for accompanying cooperation processes between science and SMEs - even in a transnational field.
