Brief description
Objective:
- Production and supply of high-value substitute fuels made of commercial waste with a high heating value
- New production processes, quality assurance strategies and application optimization of substitute fuels
Tasks of the VWS
- Investigation of the requirements profile of substitute fuels
- Laboratory examinations of fuel properties,
- Ignition and reaction behaviour (ignition furnace),
- Pollutants formation and disposition
- Examinations at the batch-reactor: construction/adjustment to substitute fuel, combustion experiments including analyses, evaluation and optimization
- On the basis of these examinations, further parameters for the characterisation of substitute fuels will be determined and the production process will be optimized
