Foam and Froth
Foams play an essential role in our daily lives, but also in industrial processes such as froth flotation. Nevertheless, their flow behavior still puzzles us. In an Emmy-Noether research group and additional projects we investigate the fluid dynamics of foam and froth.
Foam flow is characterized by a complex interaction of effects spanning several length scales.
In our research, we develop new measurement techniques for flowing foams and investigate generic flow configurations.
