Research Topic
We investigate transport processes in the vicinity of complex fluidic interfaces. Such processes are highly relevant for many industrial applications such as production of hydrogen, froth flotation, or ion separation.
With our work, we want to contribute to a basic understanding in multi-phase systems. Beyond that, we aim to improve the efficiency and sustainability of related process engineering applications.
Research Fields
Our research is based mainly on experiments in lab-scale. For novel insights we are using and developing top-notch equipment. This includes optical, but also electromagnetic, radiographic and acoustic methods.
Experimental studies are often accompanied by very specific numerical studies in order to deepen the understanding.
