Visiting the training reactor with a demonstration of the start |
---|
We offer an introduction to those who are interested, with use of the training reactor of the TU Dresden, regarding the basics of nuclear energy, controlled fission, security of nuclear construction and the creation of radiation and radiation protection. In form from lectures and discussions, physical laws of nuclear fission, the principle construction of the nuclear reactor, the production of nuclear energy in energy mix as well as security and waste removal concepts are also available. The participants will learn the main components of the TU’s reactor and will have the opportunity, under supervision, to start the reactor him/herself. He or she will also have the chance to perform radiation measurements on the construction. General questions are welcome. |
Duration: | each presentation, ca. 2 DS (180 min.) |
Dates: | by appointment only (use personal, telephone, or email contact information from the staff member responsible) or see appointments that are already available here normally, groups from 3-10 people are allowed |
Certificate: | none |
