M2BRIDGE
Towards a Sustainable Cooperation in Teaching and Research in Lightweight Engineering and Multi-Material Design
M2BRIDGE aims to establish a strategic framework for sustainable and long-term cooperation between TU Dresden and the University of Patras (UPAT). Based on the cooperation activities between the ILK at TU Dresden and the Department of Mechanical Engineering & Aeronautics at UPAT, a wide range of measures will be conducted to strengthen the institutional cooperation, expand joint teaching and initiate new research projects. From a scientific perspective, the focus is on materials science, lightweight construction and aerospace. One of the main objectives of M2BRIDGE is to develop and establish institutional cooperation between TU Dresden and UPAT, while also promoting Dresden as an attractive location for education and career development of young Greek scientists. The second main objective is to bring together the complementary competencies of TU Dresden and UPAT in the field of function-integrative lightweight engineering in order to further develop current research questions and set the basis for further joint projects and doctoral topics as well as the expansion to related disciplines.
The planned measures include for example educational and research exchanges, the organisation of summer schools and the development of joint teaching formats with a strong integration of digital components.
