LOTUS-XD (LED Optical Transmission Experiment of University Students - Extra Data) is an experiment embedded with the REXUS/BEXUS program of DLR (German national aerospace center), SNSB (Swedish National Space Board), ZARM (Center for applied aerospace technology and microgravitation), ESA (European Space Agency) and SSC (Esrange Space Center). Our team is also supported by private companies providing solar cells and technical guidance.

Our goal is testing solar cells under near space conditions using different arrays of lasers and solar cells to identify technical speficications for potential use in wireless power transmission space projects.
