The Institute of Aerospace Engineering provides a broad spectrum of lectures in the field of aerospace. These events are conducted by the individual chairs.

International Offers

Students in aerospace engineering are given the opportunity to participate in the ERASMUS exchange programme that provides the opportunity of studying at a European university for one or two semesters. The Faculty of Mechanical Science and Engineering has signed exchange agreements with the respective partner universities.

Aerospace Engineering at the Faculty of Mechanical Science and Engineering

Mechanical Engineering degree is one of the largest degree programmes at TU Dresden and is affiliated with the Faculty of Mechanical Science and Engineering. It is offered in the format of a traditional diploma engineering course and consists of a continuous five-year study programme.

After a two-year fundamental course in Mechanical Science and Engineering, students opt for a specialisation according to their personal interests. The Institute of Aerospace Engineering offers lectures for the specialisation in the fields of aeronautical and aerospace engineering and engine technology. In a further specialisation, students can acquire specialist knowledge in the fields of aerospace, aircraft engineering as well as propulsion technology. Fundamental knowledge is built up in manifold areas such as aircraft design, aircraft construction or in the subject area of electrical propulsion, orbital mechanics and satellite communications.

The institute’s lectures and courses are open for students and audience from all disciplines to attend.
