Welcome to the Faculty of Mechanical Science and Engineering – Start of Studies in the Winter Semester 2026/27

In the 2026–27 winter semester, numerous first-year students will begin their studies at the Faculty of Mechanical Science and Engineering at TU Dresden. A warm welcome to you all!

Even before classes begin, the Freshman Orientation (ESE), taking place from October 3 to 10, 2026, offers an opportunity to get to know the faculty, the campus, and your new classmates. Organized by the Mechanical Engineering Faculty Student Council, the ESE includes various events related to the start of your studies.

The program includes, among other things, seminar group registration, informational sessions on organizing your studies, a campus tour, a guided tour of Dresden, and various group activities. In this way, the ESE provides initial orientation and supports your transition into everyday student life.
