One of the major activities of the DRESDEN-concept is to develop a common platform for shared infrastructure, the DRESDEN Technology Platform. This platform will foster synergies in infrastructure and collaboration in research.

The DGC constitutes a shared technology resource that provides the infrastructure for a broad range of state-of-the-art genomic technologies. The DGC consists of the following 4 units: DNA Sequencing/ Tilling, Mircoarray-based Technologies, Next Generation Sequencing, and Recombineering.

The BioDIP is a community of core light- and electron microscopy facilities on the Biopolis campus. It provides access to state-of-the-art imaging technologies and is used by scientists across Dresden. Currently more than 50 imaging systems are available to all researchers within eight BioDIP facilities belonging to five research institutions.

Dresden Science Calendar allows the international scientists within the framework of the DRESDEN-concept to improve cooperation across departmental limits and produce more efficient science.

The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft and the TU Dresden extend together the subject energy efficiency as a priority. The aim is to strengthen in close scientific cooperation the academic teaching and research as well as the innovation competence at the research location Dresden.

The DDc Welcome Center @ TUD supports international scientists and their families to feel home in Dresden and allows them to concentrate on their research career from the very first moment. An experienced team in local International Offices and the Welcome Center of the TU Dresden as well as (dual) career specialists are dedicated to support foreign nationals.
