First Women Professors’ Breakfast launched by Women@DDc Network
On November 26, 2024, the Women@DDc network held its first professors' breakfast, which was very well received. This format was launched to create an exclusive platform for female professors from the DRESDEN- concept research area, which promotes the exchange of experiences, best practices and interdisciplinary cooperation.
During the breakfast in Dresden's old town, the participants had the opportunity to network with each other and make valuable contacts.
The feedback from the professors in attendance was consistently positive. They particularly appreciated the opportunity to talk about challenges and successes in the academic environment in an informal setting at eye level. The exchange of perspectives and discussion of current issues affecting women in academia remains an important topic at professor level.
The Women@DDc network plans to continue this successful networking format in 2025 in order to give even more female professors the opportunity to engage in interdisciplinary exchange.
