IDAHOBIT 2023
On May 17, 2004, IDAHOBIT - the International Day against Homophobia, Biophobia, Inter- and Transphobia or Hostility - was established for the first time. Since then, it has been celebrated annually worldwide as a day of action to draw attention to violence and discrimination against queer people who deviate from heteronormativity with their different sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression. Last year, the Progressive Pride Flag was raised for the first time at the TU Dresden. This year, a series of events will be held to raise awareness and empowerment, e.g. an interdisciplinary scientific colloquium on queer science or a workshop on self-assertion for TINA* persons. Information on the events can be found here.
