Development of a highly precise multigas-analyzer for the flexible industrial use
Duration: August 2009 - July 2012
Due to diversification of the earth gas market and the growing interconnection of fuel gas supply, the billing-related relevant energy content (caloric value of gases) varies. On the one hand, the geographic origin induces a different composition and on the other hand, an increasing feeding of non-fossil fuel gas occurs. By conducting a spectroscopic analysis with the help of a low-cost MEMS-based system the composition at the net transfer points can be determined and converted in energy content. Via sensor data fusion the system allows the consideration of spectroscopic inaccessible components such as hydrogen and nitrogen.
