Dr Fabian Paulus awarded TUD Young Investigator status
Dr. Fabian Paulus was appointed TUD Young Investigator. TU Dresden awards this status to outstanding young scientists to strengthen their position within the faculty. TUD Young Investigators are allowed to review doctoral theses and participate in various activities within the faculty, including teaching. In addition, TUD Young Investigators are supported with a tailored range of qualifications and training opportunities.
Dr. Paulus is heading the research group "Transport in Hybrid Materials" at the Center for Advancing Electronics Dresden (cfaed) at the Technical University of Dresden since October 2019. His research focuses on the fundamental understanding of the physico-chemical properties of novel semiconductors and nanomaterials. In 2022 he received funding (2.2M€) for his project "GreenDots – Environmentally-friendly Nanocrystal Materials for Optoelectronic Applications" as part of the BMBF's prestigious "NanoMatFutur" program. Together with his team, the junior research group synthesizes and develops heavy-metal-free nanomaterials for application in solar cells and photodetectors.
The Faculty of Chemistry and Food Chemistry welcomes Dr. Paulus and is looking forward to the upcoming cooperation!
