Wednesday, October 7^th, 2026	10:00 a.m. – Start of the city rally for all first-semester students in the courtyard of the new Chemistry Building (CHE) Starting at 4:00 p.m. – Barbecue in the courtyard of the new Chemistry building (CHE) for all first-semester students
Thursday, October 8^th, 2026	9:20 a.m. – Orientation session for the Chemistry/Chemical Engineering teaching programs, as well as a safety briefing (mandatory for participation in the lab!) in Lecture Hall CHE/0091/H, plus an introduction to the Student Council (FSR) and assignment of mentors 11:00 a.m. – Information fair in the Auditorium Center (HSZ) 3:00 p.m. – Formal enrollment ceremony in the Audimax HSZ/AUDI/H You can find all further information about “Welcome Day” at TU Dresden here
Friday, October 9^th, 2026	Starting at 8:00 a.m. – Lab coat sale (cash only!) at the FSR office (Room CHE/152) for all first-semester students The specific dates for the individual mentor groups will be announced during the respective orientation sessions 9:20 a.m. – Welcome session for the Bachelor’s degree programs in Chemistry, Food Chemistry, and Chemistry/Chemical Technology Teacher Education in Lecture Hall CHE/0089/E, hosted by the FSR Chemistry and Food Chemistry, including an introduction to Selma and OPAL (in German) 11:10 a.m. – Welcome session for students in the Bachelor’s degree programs in Chemistry, Food Chemistry, and Chemistry/Chemical Technology Teacher Education in Lecture Hall CHE/0089/E, hosted by the Chemistry and Food Chemistry Student Council (FSR), including an introduction to Selma and OPAL (in English) 1:00 p.m. – Game afternoon in the Großer Garten (in room CHE/153 in case of bad weather) for all first-semester students 4:40 p.m. – Movie screening in Lecture Hall CHE/0089/E for all first-semester students ( the movie will be announced later)

November 6^th–8^th, 2026	Freshman Trip to Bad Schandau
TBA	JLC ClubBook Sale : All relevant used books will be auctioned off. If you’re on a tight budget, this is the place for you! An affordable alternative to the empty SLUB library and expensive bookstores.
