Subproject A07
2D Nanoplatelets as Building Blocks for Ordered Assemblies
The project will aim at the elucidation of the chemistry of arranging 2D nanoplatelets (NPLs) (made of CdSe) into various geometries including larger NPL networks interlinked via their tips, 2D sheets in different tessellations interlinked via their edges and structures gained through sintering of NPLs and their further 2D growth. Other experimentally established NPLs like InSe and PbS may follow as well as their combinations and those produced via ion-exchange reactions. The optoelectronic properties of the 2D assemblies and collective interactions within the assemblies will be characterized.
