Subproject A09
The Chemistry of van der Waals Heterostructures Based on Conjugated 2D Metal-Organic Framework Monolayers (c-MOFene)
The project will develop metal organic framework (MOF)-based 2D-2D van der Waal heterostructures (vdWHs) by assembling 2D c-MOFs with graphene. These 2D c-MOFs are expected to be monolayer metals/semiconductors/TIs with tuned electronic structures and magnetic coupling. A Langmuir-Blodgett (LB)-assisted wet interfacial transfer approach will be developed for the precise assembly of 2D-2DvdWHs. A further function-driven focus is the discovery of the intriguing electronic, electrocatalytic and magnetic properties as well as the understanding of the interface-property relationship.
