The magic is at the Interface – Inaugural Lecture by Prof. Elizabeth von Hauff
Energy Technologies: The magic is at the Interface On November 17, Prof. Elizabeth von Hauff, an experimental physicist, will explain her research. She has held the Chair of Coating Technologies for Electronics at the Institute of Solid State Electronics at TU Dresden since 2021. Moreover, she is the new director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Organic Electronics, Electron Beam and Plasma Technology FEP in Dresden. Her academic career has taken the biosensorics expert to the University of Amsterdam, the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (ISE) in Freiburg and the University of Oldenburg. Honors such as the Dutch Research Council's Open Mind Award underscore her commitment, as does the DFG's Mercator membership. In her inaugural lecture “Energy Technologies: The Magic is at the Interface”, Prof von Hauff will present an overview of innovative organic and hybrid solar cells. They are an essential step in the field of renewable energies. Crystal-based sensors that give off charge when a force is applied and spectroscopy are being used to design and fabricate new device architectures. The lecture will be held in English and will be accompanied by a reception, where you can talk to Prof. Hauff directly. Information on the event Title: Prof. Elizabeth von Hauff - “Energy Technology: The Magic is at the Interface” The organizers strongly recommend the use of FFP2 masks and that all participants perform a self-test before attending.
