Programming course: python in physics

Enrolment for the two-week (20 to 31 March) programming course "Python in Physics" is possible until 13 Maech 2023. The course is mainly aimed at the Bachelor's degree programme in physics (1st - 5th semester) and is conducted in the form of blended learning:

• Self-study (flipped classroom)

  • Acquisition of the basics of the python programming language

  • Application to the solution of physical problems

  • Integrated exercises and tests

• PC pool

  • supervised tutorials

  • small group project work on concrete physical problems

• Without programming knowledge

  Basics of python

  Applications for the basic physics lab course

• Previous knowledge of python

  Scientific computing with python

  Applications in preparation for Computational Physics

Python is increasingly used for the evaluation of experiments in the basic physics lab course and is a prerequisite for successful participation in the Computational Physics module.
Participation can be credited with four credit points in the module General Qualifications (AQua).
