
Physics in Dresden
TU Dresden is one of the top ten universities in Germany for physics research, according to the independent CHE research ranking. Experimental and theoretical research focus on condensed matter physics, particle and nuclear physics, complex quantum systems, and biophysics. With more than 60 doctoral graduations per year, the Faculty of Physics of TU Dresden holds a leading position in the training of doctoral students.
In teaching, Dresden provides a broad physics education at the highest level with a strong research orientation, extensive qualifications and an international focus, as shown by the findings of the CHE ranking. In total, about 950 students are enrolled in the degree programs Bachelor and Master Physics, Master Organic and Molecular Electronics, and teaching physics.
