EXIST Research Transfer (2022-2025)
Building on the preliminary work in the GO-Bio initial exploratory phase, the interventions developed at the Chair are to be tested for use in real settings (inpatient and outpatient routine care, rehabilitation) for proof of concept. As part of the EXIST research transfer funding, the foundation of a transnational digital care facility in Europe is being prepared.

GBi1S: Cross-national digital medical products for the prevention, self-help and treatment of mental health problems, funding code: 031B099
The Chair of Clinical Psychology and E-Mental Health has been working for over 20 years to develop digital care services for mental health problems and disorders, from health promotion and prevention to treatment and aftercare, in collaboration with international researchers. To date, around 25 such interventions have been developed and evaluated in many clinical studies, some of which are available in several languages and could be offered across national borders. A corresponding care model has proved successful within the framework of a European joint project. Nevertheless, very few interventions have been incorporated into routine care to date.
The GO-Bio initial exploratory phase of ICare4EU (running until 03/2022) focuses on the idea of preparing the market maturity of this transnational care model as part of a spin-off, initially in Germany. The current legislation offers opportunities to transfer the research results into practice. Further feasibility studies in the area of routine care are planned in cooperation with clinics, health and pension insurance companies, doctors and psychotherapists. Further steps concern the certification and registration of selected interventions as medical products, the selection of a technology provider, the preparation of a European facility and the specification of the future business model.
