Admission requirements
To be admitted to the degree program, applicants must have completed a general university entrance qualification (Abitur) or a comparable university entrance qualification.

NC (numerus clausus) selection procedure
As part of the quotas "University selection procedure" and "Additional aptitude quota", a selection interview will be part of the selection criteria in addition to the TMS test with effect from the 2021/22 winter semester. You must register for the selection interview in advance independently of your application to study. For more information, please visit the page of the Faculty of Medicine.

Notes on the application process
The application for the Human Medicine model degree program at the Medical Campus in Chemnitz or for the standard degree program in Medicine at the Dresden campus takes place via two separate application procedures. The regulations stipulated by the Stiftung für Hochschulzulassung (Foundation for University Admission) apply for both application procedures. The selection regulation of TU Dresden’s Faculty of Medicine also applies for the Human Medicine model degree program.The TMS is taken into account in the selection process. Please take note of the application deadlines listed on the TMS website.
Landarztquote
Bei der "Landarztquote" handelt es sich nach dem Sächsischen Landarztgesetz um eine Vorabquote. Die Plätze innerhalb der Landarztquote werden im Rahmen eines besonderen Auswahlverfahrens an Bewerber:innen vergeben, die sich gern im ländlichen Raum engagieren wollen und großes Interesse an der hausärztlichen Tätigkeit haben.
Die Bewerbung und Vergabe erfolgt durch bzw. bei der Landesdirektion Sachsen.

General information about the degree program
In the degree programme Human Medicine model course, the classical disciplinary boundaries are transcended. The contents of the individual disciplines are taught in a modular structure based on the organ systems, in order to achieve a close connection between pre-clinical and clinical subjects. The major part of the pre-clinical and clinical teaching is conducted at the Chemnitz campus, the primary location of the degree programme.
