Counselling and Service
No matter whether you have questions about the organisation of your studies, how to plan a semester abroad, how to prepare for a succesful start into your professional career or even if you have doubts or encounter problems during your studies - this will provide an overview of suitable services and opportunities for counselling for all stages of your studies. First information
The ServiceCenterStudies is your central point of contact for all general questions regarding your studies at TU Dresden.We will try to answer all your questions and/or will forward your questions directly to the right contact person at our various service desks and departments.
Organisation of your studies
The Admission Office is your contact for all questions regarding the organisation of your studies, including e.g. re-registration, leave of absence, termination of your enrolment, changing of university, questions regarding your student ID card or tuition fees. International students can contact the International Office for support in these matters. More information about exams and about the recognition of credits can be found at the Examination Offices of your faculty. You can get certified documentation for certificates/documents issued by TU Dresden at the respective certification offices. Students with disabilities, including chronic or mental illnesses, often encounter special obstacles during their studies and have specific questions. Our contacts for students with disabilities will support you on your way to succesful graduation.
There are many activities and support schemes offered for students with children.
Funding and Finances
There exist many possibilities to fund your studies, e.g. BAföG, Deutschlandstipendium or other scholarship programmes.
Counselling
The Central Student Information and Counselling Servicewill support you if you have doubts or problems during your studies and strives to find an individual solution for your specific case together with you in a personal consultation. Subject-specific questions, e.g. regarding your curriculum or the choice of your major can be discussed with the academic advisors in the faculties. The Studentenwerk and the Studentenrat also support you with various initiatives and programmes. Semester abroad
If you are planning to spend a semester (or more) abroad and seek information (exchange programmes, language requirements, scholarships, etc.) and guidance, the International Office will support you and help you with the organisation of your stay abroad. If you'd rather do an internship abroad, the LEONARDO-BÜRO SACHSEN should be your first contact.
Starting your professional career
In order to prepare your start into a professional career, the Career Service offers a multitude of different workshops and events with subject-specific business partners.
